Calvinism teaches that Jesus died for all... of the elect.... not for the whole world, not for whosoever, not for ALL believers AND unbelievers... He just died for all of the elect. This is what Calvinists refer to as LIMITED Atonement saying Jesus's death only atoned for those who God chose to be elect and saved.
Did he? Did Jesus just die for all of the elect? Did he purchase just the elect with his blood? What does the bible say?
1 John 2:2 and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, BUT also for the sins of the WHOLE world.
That is a really big BUT.
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, SPECIALLY of those that believe.
Jesus is the Saviour of ALL men, believers & unbelievers BUT, ESPECIALLY the believers.
You see, you can't plug ALL the elect in for ALL men and then say but, especially for the believers. It just doesn't work.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that BOUGHT THEM, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Jesus bought and paid for EVERYBODY with his blood... the believer AND the unbelievers like the false prophets & the false teachers.
He not only bought everybody with his blood but, he is the propitiation for the sins of the WHOLE world.
Don't be like a Calvinist following another gospel that is not the gospel. You'll end up in hell like John Calvin if you do.
