God Does Evil

God does evil. Doing evil is not always a sin, especially when you are God because God does righteous evil. When God does evil he HURTS people.

I believe God will do evil for 7 years during Daniel's 70th week. The first half will be God pouring out Tribulation and the second half will be the Great Tribulation, the Second Coming and God's Wrath.

Consider these verses where God did evil or thought to do evil:

Exodus 32:14 And the Lord REPENTED of the EVIL which he thought to do unto his people. This was when Moses came down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments.

2 Samuel 24:16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the EVIl, and said to the ANGEL THAT DESTROYED THE PEOPLE, It is enough: stay now thine hand.

2 Samuel 24:16 and 1 Chronicles 21:15 are the same account of God destroying Jerusalem because David conducted a census that God did not tell him to do.

1 Chronicles 21:15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and AS HE WAS DESTROYING, the Lord beheld, and he repented him of the EVIL, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand.

Notice WHO destroyed Jerusalem. God did not do it. God directed his angel to destroy Jerusalem. The angel “hurt” Jerusalem on God’s behalf, at his command. This point will be very important later.

Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God REPENTED of the EVIL, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

When God flooded the earth he did evil… righteous evil. He hurt the people on earth. He also protected the eight people in the ark.

Some people think the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are the devil’s angels. I believe the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are God’s angels who will do evil upon the earth at God’s command during the Tribulation.

Let’s look at Revelation 6.

Revelation 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of THUNDER, ONE of the four beasts saying, COME AND SEE. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was GIVEN unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

The White horseman:

- does not have a name

- he HAS a bow

- he is GIVEN a CROWN

- he is a leader not a fighter

- he does not kill anybody

- leaders get credit for killing but they do not kill anybody

- Saying WHO is on the white horse is speculation

- I speculate the white horseman is an angel of God and not the devil

There is no mention of arrows in this verse. If you research the word, τόξον, you will find the most common definition is a bow. This is the only time τόξον is used in the bible. The assumption is a bow with arrows. There is another definition for this word, rainbow. I believe the white horseman is an angel of God who is going forth as a conqueror of God with God’s rainbow above him.

God will NEVER honor the devil with a Crown and a Rainbow.

Revelation 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the SECOND beast say, COME AND SEE. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take PEACE from the earth, and that THEY should kill one another: and there was GIVEN unto him a great sword.

The Red horseman:

- does NOT have a name

- he HAS nothing

- he is GIVEN great SWORD

- he takes PEACE from the earth

- THEY, the people of the earth, are the ones who kill one another

- the red horseman creates the environment for people to kill

- the red horseman does not kill anybody

- the red horseman is an angel of God

The red horseman does not kill anybody. He takes peace from the earth and the people on earth do all of the "killing".

Revelation 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the THIRD beast say, COME AND SEE. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the MIDST of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

The Black horseman:

- does NOT have a name

- he HAS balances in his hand

- he was NOT given anything else

- he does NOT say “a measure of wheat for a penny”

- SOMEBODY else says “a measure of wheat for a penny”

- Is this SOMEBODY giving a command or making an observation?

- the black horseman does not KILL anybody

- the black horseman is an angel of God

The black horseman has balances in his hand. I believe he will cause a famine of wheat and barley, causing an imbalance in the food chain. People will starve because they cannot make bread without wheat and barley and their cattle die because they have no food.

Revelation 6:7 And when he had opened the FOURTH seal, I heard the voice of the FOURTH beast say, COME AND SEE. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell FOLLOWED with him. AND power was given unto THEM over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The Pale horseman:

- has a name

- his name is Death

- Hell FOLLOWED with Death

- By definition, Death KILLS. This is the ONLY thing Death ever does

- AND power was given to THEM to kill. The AND is a coordinating conjunction. The AND tells us Death and Hell are “THEM”

- Death kills those who have attacked each other, who have no food and are are dying.

- I do not know if Death is an angel or not

The devil has ZERO control over DEATH and HELL. Nobody dies without DEATH. Death and Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Here are my conclusions so far:

- the white horseman is an angel of God leading the way

- the red horseman is an angel who takes peace away

- the black horseman is an angel who causes famine

- Death kills people by sword, hunger, death and beasts

- People die and go directly to Hell

- God causes the Tribulation not the devil

- God does evil to the earth for 1260 days THROUGH his angels

You may say... but God would NEVER do something like this. Go ask the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Go ask Noah if God would NEVER do something like this. Daniel's 70th week is just God fulfilling prophesy and doing evil for 7 years.

One important thing to note here: God is NOT going to REPENT for 7 years. Once he starts there is no turning back.

Here is a new thought: I don’t think will saints die and go to heaven as a result of the Four Horsemen and God's Tribulation. I think they may die during the Tribulation but not BECAUSE of the Tribulation. Stay with me here.

Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12:6 is referring to the 1st half of Daniel's 70th week which is 1260 days long.

Revelation 12:6 can NOT refer to the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week because the Second Coming takes place during the last 1260 days.

The 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week is broken down as follows:

75 days - Great Tribulation

(Second Coming)

1185 days - God's Wrath

The remnant of saints Rapture during the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week so there are no saints left to flee into the wilderness for 1260 days. So, Revelation 12:6 has to apply to the 1260 days of the 1st half of the week.

I think Revelation 12:6 is saying God will protect his people during the Tribulation just as he protected Noah and his family in the ark. The question remains... where is this wilderness? I don't know. I'm thinking the entire earth is a wilderness that is essentially void of believers.

One last thought:

Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest NOT day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

If the four beasts are CURRENTLY in heaven saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come...

Then do they stop and say COME AND SEE when each of the 1st 4 seals are opened or did they just do that for John in his vision?

I don’t think we’ll ever know.

UPDATE: I have some more crazy thoughts about believers being protected during Daniel's 70th week.

Revelation 12:6 tells us the woman, i.e. the believers, will have a place prepared for her/them during the first 1260 days during the Tribulation just as God took care of Noah and his family. That is a good thing.

The bad thing is it makes identifying believers easy... you see, the devil doesn't have a personal copy of the Lambs Book of Life. Once he is kicked out of heaven, around the Abomination of Desolation, he is coming after the saints with a vengeance. Those who were protected from the Tribulation will be easily identifiable.

The Abomination of Desolation marks the end of the 1260 days of protection. This is when the devil will set out to kill as many believers as he can during this time. But...

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Then Jesus returns and takes all of the saints home.

On day 1 after the Second Coming the only people left on earth will be reprobates, the 2 witnesses and children. And by children I mean those who are biblically too young, under 20 years old, to go to war.

Numbers 1:3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

Those who come to faith during the remainder of Daniel's 70th week will have the seal of God in their foreheads and will be protected from the locusts when the 5th angel sounds his trumpet.

Revelation 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
