Faithful Are The Wounds of a Friend

Updated: Jun 29, 2022

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

I had to leave Franklin Street Baptist church recently. I just couldn't stand the 'kisses' anymore.

The men have no spine. They are all suck-ups. They were 'kissing' me and teaching me the only thing they knew how to be... menpleasers.

It became unbearable going to church Sunday after Sunday looking at the idols they proudly displayed in church... the long haired Jesus painting in the ladies' Sunday School room... the shrine to the Florida Gators... the full size cut out of our lord and savior Donald Trump and especially the full sized painting of Butt Ugly Jesus.

I went to church and the men just 'kissed' me and 'kissed' me and 'kissed' me. They complemented my theology... yet, I never really told them about my theology. They sat in Sunday School and listened as the pastor proclaimed "I'm KJV only!" and then had the women read from the NIV and ESV.

It's because of churches like this... men like this... pastors like this... that the world is going to hell in a hand basket. They claim to be bible believing Baptists. Even the assistant pastor said "God does not want us to make any likeness of Him"... and yet, there he is Butt Ugly Jesus standing proudly in the room traveled through most often in the church.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend. Franklin Street... you church is full of idols. Tear down the idols!

The kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Franklin Street... stop being suck-ups. Tell Jezebel you're taking Butt Ugly Jesus down and creating a bonfire with him.

Update: I forgot I took some pictures when I first started visiting.
