Jesus told the high priest he would see him coming in clouds.
Mark 14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Matthew 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Luke 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Wonder what the view from hell will be like?
Update 6/21/2022 - I found another instance where Jesus told the priests they would see him...
Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
The priests never said that before or after Jesus resurrected from the grave. He said they will 'see' him when he 'cometh'. That says to me they will see him at the Second Coming.
You could make the argument that this is after the Tribulation, after the Wrath, after the Second Coming at the Judgement seat. But, Jesus doesn't 'come' to the Judgement seat. Those who are being judged will 'come' to the Judgement seat.
Remember this... Every knee shall bow and confess:
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Where is the "it is written"?
Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Every thing in heaven will bow, in earth AND under the earth, ie hell, will bow... AND confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Everybody in hell will kneel and bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Not only that but, everybody in hell will be calling on the name of Jesus for the rest of eternity. Think about that. Billions of people crying out in pain and agony BEGGING to be released from the prison of hell.
